Embark on an exciting adventure in Synth Beasts as you assume the role of a failed experiment known as a “Synth” that escapes from a secretive laboratory located on a mysterious island. While exploring the nearby archipelago, you encounter other Synths that are not as friendly, leading to battles where victory unlocks them as playable characters. By doing so, you gain access to their distinct abilities for combat and exploration throughout the game.
As you engage in battles using your Synths, they accumulate experience points allowing them to level up. Each Synth has five distinctive levels of progression, bringing with them unique bonuses that differentiate them from one another. With each level increase, obtaining additional experience becomes more challenging, necessitating frequent rotation between Synths to maximize your team’s abilities and unlock new skills!
For example, the “Psitek” Synth possesses the ability to ignite torches from the start. By reaching level three, it gains the skill to deflect projectiles with a fire slash, proving invaluable in certain dungeons. While most level bonuses focus on combat enhancements, it is beneficial to switch to other Synths to unlock new abilities more efficiently without requiring excessive experience points!
Exploration and Discoveries
At the outset of the game, you acquire a boat previously used by scientists, granting you free rein over the Genesis Archipelago – a region abundant with tiny islands hiding valuable bonuses like additional hearts, stat-boosting items, and currency for acquisitions in shops. If thorough exploration is not your forte, progressing to the main islands lets you confront the scientists directly to dismantle their dubious operations.
While the primary islands host boss Synths, numerous optional islands serve as their dwellings. Capturing over 40 Synths proves to be a formidable challenge, yet each corner of the Genesis Archipelago holds rewards waiting to be claimed by intrepid explorers!
