Switch 2 Supply Chain Figures Reportedly Revealed Ahead Of 2025 Launch

Nintendo Switch 2 Supply Chain Figures Revealed Before 2025 Launch

Exciting new console launches can sometimes be marred by supply chain issues, as seen recently with Sony’s PlayStation 5 release. With Nintendo’s Switch successor on the horizon, will history repeat itself?

A recent report by Bloomberg sheds some light on the potential shipment numbers for the Switch 2 in its inaugural year. According to Robin Zhu, an analyst at Sanford C. Bernstein, Nintendo is poised to deliver over 20 million units in 2025.

Comparatively, the original Switch sold about 15 million units in its first year. However, the launch of the Switch 2 will be almost a decade later, with Nintendo in a stronger position after the success of the Switch and the challenges faced during the Wii U era.

Having sold over 146 million units globally, the Switch’s success bodes well for its successor. If Bloomberg’s projections hold true, we might not have to scramble to secure the new hybrid console once pre-orders begin.

With the price of the Switch 2 still unknown, many fans are eagerly awaiting confirmation from Nintendo. Speculations about the hardware’s internals have led to various price estimates, which will hopefully be clarified in an upcoming Direct presentation.

Are you hoping to pre-order the Switch 2 in its first year, or will you wait it out? Let us know your thoughts.
