Cyberpunk 2077’s latest patch includes DLSS 4 support ahead of next week’s RTX 50 Series arrival

CD Projekt Red Releases Cyberpunk 2077 Patch with DLSS 4 Support

After wrapping up development on Cyberpunk 2077 last year, CD Projekt Red surprises fans with yet another patch. The highlight of this update is the addition of DLSS 4 support, in anticipation of Nvidia’s upcoming RTX 50 Series of GPUs.

According to CD Projekt’s patch notes for update 2.21, Cyberpunk 2077 now includes “DLSS 4 with Multi Frame Generation for GeForce RTX 50 Series graphics cards, which boosts FPS by using AI to generate up to three times per traditionally rendered frame”. This new feature will be activated alongside the launch of the RTX 50 Series on January 30th.

In addition to DLSS 4 support, the patch brings “faster single Frame Generation with reduced memory usage” for users with RTX 50 and 40 Series GPUs. Players can now choose between the CNN model or the new Transformer model for DLSS Ray Reconstruction, DLSS Super Resolution, and DLAA on all GeForce RTX graphics cards. The new Transformer model promises enhanced stability, lighting, and detail in motion.

Apart from the DLSS 4 support, version 2.21 of Cyberpunk 2077’s patch also includes numerous fixes for the game’s photo mode, vehicle color customization, and character creation. Xbox and PlayStation users will find platform-specific fixes detailed in CD Projekt’s patch notes.

This latest update follows the surprise 2.2 patch released in December, which introduced expanded customization options and new photo mode features. Despite officially ending development last May, CD Projekt continues to provide support for Cyberpunk 2077, including the upcoming release of a Mac version this year.

While most of CD Projekt’s focus is now on developing The Witcher 4, fans can still expect ongoing updates and improvements for the iconic Cyberpunk 2077 game.
