Pokemon Fans Pay Thousands for Charizard-Shaped Cheeto

Pokemon enthusiasts are well-known for their dedication, especially with the upcoming 30th anniversary of Pokemania in 2026. In a surprising display of fandom, some fans have gone as far as to bid thousands of dollars on unofficial Pokemon items, including a Charizard lookalike Flamin’ Hot Cheeto. The quirky item, dubbed “Cheetozard,” has fetched a high bid exceeding four figures in an ongoing auction.

Reported by Polygon, the Charizard-shaped Cheeto is currently up for auction on Goldin auctions for anyone with a substantial disposable income. With the current highest bid standing at $2,100 and eight more days remaining in the auction, the price may continue to climb.

According to the auction listing, the unique Cheetozard was “discovered and preserved sometime between 2018-2022 by 1st & Goal Collectibles.” It comes with a specially crafted Cheetozard card enclosed in a transparent storage box. While certainly an entertaining novelty piece, it may not appeal to everyone’s tastes.
