Phasmophobia’s console version finally gets voice recognition

Phasmophobia’s Voice Recognition Feature Coming to Consoles

Great news for all ghost-hunting enthusiasts! The genre-defining voice recognition feature of Phasmophobia is finally making its way to consoles.

While PC players have had the advantage of experiencing the horror game with the added tension of voice recognition for some time, the initial October release on consoles did not include this feature.

But now, Kinetic has confirmed that the feature is all set to go live on both PS5 and Xbox consoles. This means that console players can now enjoy using voice prompts for equipment like the Spirit Box, Ouija Board, and Monkey Paw.

Despite the delay in introducing some fan-favorite equipment and tools to console players, the ghost-hunting simulation game has still managed to sell an impressive two million copies on consoles since its exit from early access last October. This brings the total sales across all platforms to a whopping 22 million.

Earlier this month, Phasmophobia revealed its plans for the future of the spooky simulation game in 2025. This includes map reworks, new ghost-hunting equipment, exciting seasonal events, and even a brand-new location to explore.
