Final Fantasy 14 gets a new cute emote thanks to a Fujifilm collaboration that lets players use an Instax camera in-game

Final Fantasy 14’s Collaboration with Fujifilm Brings Instax Camera to the Game

Final Fantasy 14 has announced a new collaboration with Fujifilm, allowing players to use an Instax camera in-game. The collaboration introduces a new exclusive ‘Photograph’ emote, which is now available for all players with the release of Patch 7.18.

The ‘Photograph’ emote is free and has been automatically added to every player’s emote collection. There is no need to purchase or farm for it separately, making it easily accessible to all players.

Additionally, the second phase of the collaboration is set to begin on February 27 and run until March 30. During this phase, players can share screenshots from the game on X / Twitter for a chance to win exclusive in-game items such as the Gaelicap hat, a Great Paraserpent umbrella, and Fat Cat Earrings. Up to 10,000 participants can win these items by following the entry instructions on the campaign website.

Alongside the Fujifilm collaboration, Patch 7.18 also brings new battle system changes to the game. These include the removal of the weekly restriction on receiving Light-heavy Holoblades from the first Arcadion raid tier, various PvP adjustments, and quality-of-life improvements.

Square Enix has confirmed that the next major update, Patch 7.2 titled Seekers of Eternity, is scheduled for release in late March 2025. This update will introduce new features such as main scenario quests, a new dungeon called The Underkeep, the new Arcadion: Cruiserweight Tier raid, and more.
