Free PS5 Upgrade for Acclaimed PS4 Game Shadow Dropped

Sayonara Wild Hearts gets a free PS5 upgrade today

Annapurna Interactive recently held a showcase to give players a sneak peek at what they can expect from the publisher and its developers in the coming year. One exciting announcement made during the event was that one of Annapurna’s critically acclaimed PS4 games is receiving a free PS5 upgrade, available today at no extra cost.

Developed by Simogo, Sayonara Wild Hearts has now been ported to the PS5. The new upgrade, which is available today, boasts updated 4K visuals, the ability to run at up to 120 frames per second for players with a compatible display, and incorporates DualSense haptic feedback features. Additionally, the upgrade introduces an exclusive Remix Arcade game mode that allows users to play through “endlessly replayable levels” as they strive for high scores.

Existing owners of the PS4 version of Sayonara Wild Hearts can access the PS5 upgrade for free by linking both platforms to the same account. For new players, the game is available for $12.99 on the PS Store.

According to the game’s official description, “As the heart of a young woman breaks, the balance of the universe is disturbed. A diamond butterfly appears in her dreams and leads her through a highway in the sky, where she finds her other self: the masked biker called The Fool.” Players will embark on a journey through a custom-written pop soundtrack, aiming to chase scores and discover the harmony of the universe hidden within the hearts of characters like Little Death, Dancing Devils, Howling Moons, Stereo Lovers, and Hermit 64.

In addition to the free PS5 upgrade for Sayonara Wild Hearts, Annapurna Interactive unveiled release dates and windows for three other games. Lushfoil Photography Sim is set to launch on PS5 on April 15, allowing players to capture images in various locations such as South Tyrol, Italy, and South West Australia. To a T, the next game from Katamari Damacy creator Keita Takahashi, will be released on May 28 for PS5. Lastly, the single-player bicycle racing game Wheel World is scheduled to launch on PS5 this summer.
