Fisch Scylla Boss Guide and How to Catch

In Fisch’s Mariana’s Veil expansion, Scylla emerges as a formidable adversary that players must conquer in order to capture it. This boss can be found in the Veil of the Forsaken area, accessible only after completing a series of prerequisite quests. Here’s a comprehensive guide on locating Scylla, defeating it, and ultimately catching it.

Finding the Scylla Boss in Fisch

To engage in combat with Scylla, adventurers must first gain access to the Veil of the Forsaken. This involves traversing through the Calm Zone and solving a specific puzzle along the way.

Begin by conquering the stone obby situated at the southern end of the Calm Zone, eventually reaching a Gate.

Catching 3 Secret Fish: The Magma Leviathan, Frozen Leviathan, and Crowned Anglerfish are the elusive fish that must be captured in order to unlock the gate, granting access to the Rainbow Pool for fishing and completing the Calm Zone bestiary.

Solving the Scylla Puzzle: Within the Calm Zone, players must locate and interact with four statues, triggering a green glow upon successful interaction. This sequence must be completed within a one-minute window, emphasizing swift movement between the statues.

Upon successful resolution of the puzzle, a gate will open, leading to a portal that transports players to the Veil of the Forsaken, where the showdown with Scylla awaits.

Defeating Scylla

The battle against Scylla is a time-sensitive ordeal that demands both strategic acumen and swiftness:

Collecting Ancient Weapon Parts: Scattered across the arena are three highlighted components: the Base, Bow, and Arrow. Players must retrieve these parts while dodging Scylla’s fiery assaults. Utilizing the Advanced Glider for mobility is advantageous, preventing an inadvertent plunge into the water. Additionally, possessing a Suit Level 3 is imperative. Keep in motion to evade the incoming fireballs effectively.

Assembling the Crossbow: After acquiring all necessary parts, head to the construction site located above the entrance gate. It is here that the crossbow must be pieced together by depositing the collected components.

Avoiding Attacks: Throughout the assembly process, vigilance is paramount to sidestepping Scylla’s projectiles and avoiding sustaining damage.

Refer to this visual guide:

Upon completion of the crossbow assembly, a cinematic sequence will unfold, concluding with the defeat of Scylla. Subsequently, players may proceed to engage in the Veil of the Forsaken bestiary and participate in capturing Scylla during a specific in-game event.

Following Scylla’s defeat, the creature becomes a capturable entity under certain circumstances:

  • Location: Veil of the Forsaken
  • Bait: Shark Head
  • Time/Weather/Season: Scylla can be captured at any time, under any weather conditions, and during any season.

Due to Scylla’s rarity and imposing size, it is advisable to employ high-resilience rods to heighten the likelihood of a successful catch. The capture of Scylla occurs during hunts, akin to the mechanisms governing The Kraken or Megalodon Hunt. Keep in mind that only one player can snare this elusive creature, necessitating the inclusion of a swift rod in your gear arsenal. The hunt window spans 15 minutes, and the use of Sundial Totems can facilitate the spawning of Scylla.
