Disco Elysium successor XXX Nightshift nets some serious musical talent

Developer Dark Math Games Introduces Grammy-Nominated Music Producer for XXX Nightshift

Developer Dark Math Games recently announced that the upcoming detective RPG, XXX Nightshift, will feature Grammy Award nominated songwriter and music producer John Cunningham leading the soundtrack.

The game, described as similar to the popular title Disco Elysium, is set to open pre-orders tomorrow on the official website.

Successor to Disco Elysium

XXX Nightshift is a futuristic detective RPG that serves as a spiritual successor to Disco Elysium. The game is being developed by a team of 20 individuals, half of whom have experience working on the Disco Elysium series. Set in a high-tech ski resort, players can expect deep single-player role-playing elements with significant choices impacting the storyline.

Unique Companion Mechanic

Similar to Disco Elysium, XXX Nightshift is played from an isometric perspective. However, it introduces a distinctive companion mechanic that allows players to progress through the investigation solo or with company, based on their choices.

Collaboration with John Cunningham

John Cunningham, known for his work with artists like Miley Cyrus and Kanye West, will be collaborating closely with the development team to create the music and sound for the game. The studio’s founder expressed excitement about this partnership, highlighting Cunningham’s innovative approach to music.

Cunningham himself shared his enthusiasm about joining the XXX Nightshift project and aims to deliver a memorable musical experience for players.
