A beloved classic known for its easy handling and forgiving characteristics is set to soar in Microsoft Flight Simulator.
Born of the Golden Age of Flight
In 1931, during the Golden Age of Flight, Empresa Aeronáutica Ypiranga (EAY), an aircraft company, was established by three Brazilian aviation pioneers. Their goal was to create aircraft that would capture the imagination of those inspired by aviation.
The CAP-4 Paulistinha
After producing five EAY-201 models, Companhia Aeronáutica Paulista (CAP) acquired EAY and developed the CAP-4 Paulistinha. This new version retained the EAY-201’s user-friendly features while adding more power, resulting in enhanced speed and climb capabilities.
The CAP-4 Paulistinha has a steel-tube frame fuselage covered in fabric, a strut-braced main wing, standard empennage, and fixed traditional undercarriage. It is 21 feet, 10 inches long, 6 feet, 5 inches tall, with a wingspan of 33 feet, 2 inches. Powered by a Franklin 4AC 4-cylinder engine generating 65 horsepower, the aircraft has a range of 310 miles, a service ceiling of 13,000 feet, and cruises at 87 mph.
Ready for Microsoft Flight Simulator Pilots
Microsoft Flight Simulator and iniBuilds have faithfully recreated the CAP-4 Paulistinha for virtual pilots. This aircraft is versatile, ideal for flying from major airports to remote airstrips with ease.
The CAP-4 Paulistinha in Microsoft Flight Simulator comes with six liveries and is available free to all players as a token of appreciation for their patience during the game’s launch issues.
