Fnatic and Team Nemesis at Malta Cyber Series
Fnatic and Team Nemesis are set to compete in the eighth edition of the Malta Cyber Series, a six-team Rainbow Six Siege tournament organized by GMR. The event is scheduled to take place from March 14th to 16th, 2025.
The Format of Malta Cyber Series VIII
The tournament will feature a double-elimination bracket with all matches, except the Grand Final, being a best-of-three. The Grand Final will be a best-of-five, with the team from the upper bracket receiving a one-map advantage.

In addition to Fnatic and Team Nemesis, Wolves Esports, MACKO Esports, Team Secret, and Ence will also be competing in the event. This marks Team Secret’s return to Rainbow Six Siege competition following a controversial incident involving its CEO during the 2025 Six Invitational.
Rainbow Six Siege continues to attract interest from esports organizations, with new teams like Weibo Gaming and Cloud9 joining the competitive scene. Ubisoft’s announcement of Rainbow Six Siege X indicates a significant transformation for the game, with updates to graphics, audio, and gameplay expected.
As the Rainbow Six esports circuit prepares for the launch of Siege X, it seems that the game is undergoing a similar evolution to Counter-Strike: Global Offensive’s transition to Counter-Strike 2 in 2024.
