Star Wars: Hunters Servers To Close Later This Year

Zynga Announces Closure of Star Wars: Hunters Servers

Zynga recently revealed that it plans to shut down the servers for the free-to-play shooter Star Wars: Hunters on 1st October 2025.

In a blog post on the official website, the developer expressed, “We understand this news may be disappointing and want to assure you that this decision was not made lightly. Your passion and dedication to the game and its community have meant the world to us…”, detailing the forthcoming changes to the game.

Despite its launch on 4th June 2024, Hunters will have a relatively short lifespan of just under 16 months. After the 1st of October, the game will no longer be playable.

The final content update will be accessible to fans starting 15th April at no cost. In-game purchases will be “disabled across all platforms,” while a new support hunter named Tuya will be introduced. Additionally, Ranked Mode leaderboards will remain active.

According to the game’s FAQs, refunds will not be offered for Crystal purchases or the Arena Pass, despite the final update’s complimentary nature for all players.

Finally, Season 5 will be extended by three weeks, and the team will rerun events and shop bundles to give players more time to achieve the highest rank possible.

Although the shooter received mixed reviews from other sources, our esteemed Jim quite enjoyed his experience with the game at launch. It remains to be seen if he will revisit the game for a few more matches before its closure…
