Potential Leak Hints at Another Xbox Console Exclusive Coming to PS5

PlayStation Logo Appears on Xbox Console Exclusive Starfield’s Mod Page

If the recent speculations and leaks hold true, Xbox may have a significant advantage over PS5 in the upcoming year. A recent leak from Bethesda hints at the possibility of the PlayStation logo appearing on the mod page for their space RPG, Starfield.

Thanks to YouTuber 510deshawn (shared on the GamingLeaksAndRumours subreddit), a Starfield mod created by user ValleysEdge showcased the PlayStation logo as one of the platforms for their mod. Although the logo was eventually removed and the mod was taken down, images from the thread are available for those who are curious.

Rumors regarding a potential PS5 port for Starfield have been circulating for over a year now. Given the lineup of games expected to arrive on Sony’s gaming platform, as well as those that are rumored, it would not be surprising to see Bethesda’s latest release make its way to the PlayStation. However, reports from last March suggested that a Starfield PS5 port was not in development. It is possible that the situation has changed within the past 12 months, but an official announcement is required to confirm.

Upon its initial launch for Xbox Series X|S and PC in 2023, Starfield received positive reviews from critics. Despite this, it may not have performed as well as some had hoped, achieving an average score of 83 across 81 reviews on Metacritic.

Looking ahead at what Xbox has in store for PS5, Forza Horizon 5 is set to make its debut on the console next month. Additionally, Indiana Jones and the Great Circle is scheduled for a spring 2025 release, with rumors hinting at a possible launch next month. World’s Edge has also announced that Age of Empires 2: Definitive Edition will be arriving on PS5 at some point. While a specific release date has not been disclosed, a recent update suggests that the RTS may also be released on PS5 in April.
