Fortnite’s selection of streamers with skins in the item shop expands with the introduction of Cody “Clix” Conrod, a 19-year-old who will soon have his own Fortnite skin. This makes Clix one of the youngest individuals to receive this honor. Alongside the Clix skin, players can expect a variety of Clix-themed cosmetics and, for the first time, a Clix-inspired remix of an existing skin.
For those unfamiliar with Clix, he gained recognition after earning a spot in the Fortnite World Cup at the young age of 14 in 2019. While he continues to compete professionally, Clix is also well-known as a popular streamer and personality, leading to the creation of his unique Fortnite skin.
Clix’s set of cosmetics includes a skin with two distinct styles based on a well-known meme – one featuring him in a t-shirt and pajama pants, and the other in a suit and tie. In addition to the skin, players can expect two back blings, two emotes, a wrap, and a pickaxe in the Clix-themed collection.
A new Clix-themed version of the Sparkplug skin, titled Sparx, is also available. All these items will be up for grabs in the item shop starting on March 22, either individually or as part of a bundle that includes the entire set.
Players will have the opportunity to unlock the complete set of cosmetics for free by participating in the Clix Icon Cup, a battle royale trios tournament focusing on building structures only, set to take place on March 21. Top performers in each region will secure the full bundle. Additionally, those who narrowly miss the top tier will receive the Sparx outfit as a consolation prize. Participants who accumulate at least 8 points in the tournament will earn a spray.
Clix will soon hold the title of being the most recent individual to have a Fortnite skin created in his honor, surpassing The Kid Laroi, who received a skin at the age of 19 in 2023. Interestingly, Kyle “Bugha” Giersdorf holds the record for being the youngest to receive a Fortnite skin, achieving this milestone at the age of 18.
