The Island
WWE 2k25 has introduced new game modes and features that have heightened the gaming experience from its predecessor, 2k24. One of the notable additions this year is The Island, exclusively available for next-gen consoles. Players can immerse themselves in this WWE-themed world where they can embark on quests, face challenges, participate in live events, and enhance and personalize their wrestler. The ultimate goal is to earn a place next to the legendary Roman Reigns, known as “The Original Tribal Chief,” at the Head of the Table.
The Bloodline Storyline
The Bloodline family’s arrival in WWE 2k25 presents players with an opportunity to relive iconic moments in wrestling history. This new storyline incorporates characters like Roman Reigns, The Rock, Yokozuna, Jacob Fatu, and more, allowing players to either experience these moments as they happened or alter the course of wrestling history.
Intergender Matches
For the first time in many years, intergender matches have made a comeback in WWE 2k25. Players can now pit male and female wrestlers against each other across various game modes. The reintroduction of chain wrestling, barricade diving, and other features enhances the gameplay experience.
MyGM Multiplayer
In WWE 2k25, players can engage in multiplayer mode with friends by facing off with their drafted line-ups. This mode now supports up to four players, allowing for exciting clashes between favorite WWE Legends and Superstars. Players can manage their brand with expanded options for General Managers, cross-brand PLEs, and more.
Sandbox
Updates to WWE 2K’s sandbox mode provide players with more control over their Universe, including the reintroduction of Promos. The enhanced system offers multiple promo types, outcomes, new cutscenes, and branching choices for a dynamic gameplay experience.
MyRISE
With MyRISE mode, players can create two different Superstars from both men’s and women’s divisions to engage in a unique multi-gender storyline. Superstars like Bayley, Kevin Owens, and others infiltrate NXT in an attempt to seize control of the WWE universe. Players can decide the fate of WWE by either saving it or conquering it, with unlockable content adding replay value.
Expanded Superstar Roster
WWE 2k25 boasts the largest roster to date, featuring over 300 wrestlers from RAW, SmackDown, NXT, Legends, and Hall of Famers. Players can choose from a wide range of Superstars spanning multiple generations, including popular names like Seth Rollins, Undertaker, Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Jade Cargill, Rhea Ripley, and many more.
