Battle of BC 7 is set to gather the FGC community in Vancouver, Canada for a thrilling competition featuring the best Super Smash Bros. Melee and Ultimate players vying for the top ranks in 2025.

From March 28th to March 30th, Battle of BC 7 will highlight various fighting game tournaments, including Street Fighter 6 and Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising. However, the main attractions will be the Melee and Ultimate competitions, recognized as Premier events within the grassroots esports circuit.

Battle of BC 7 Schedule and Format

The detailed schedule is yet to be revealed, but the tournament will follow a standard format starting with Pools on Friday, March 28th and culminating in the Top 8 on March 30th. Specific times will be announced as the event approaches.

Both Melee and Ultimate Pools will run simultaneously, requiring fans to choose which division to follow, whether attending in-person or tuning in on Twitch. Pools will operate on a double elimination basis with best-of-three matches, where winners progress through the bracket while losers fight to remain in contention.

Both Melee and Ultimate will advance to a separate Top 8 stage, scheduled at different times on Sunday. The final match will be a best-of-five showdown unless the finalist from the Losers bracket forces a reset by winning two consecutive best-of-five matches.
