The Xbox Adaptive Joystick has arrived, and you can buy it now exclusively at the Microsoft Store

The Xbox Adaptive Joystick is now available at the Microsoft Store

Microsoft has launched the Xbox Adaptive Joystick, which can now be purchased exclusively at the Microsoft Store for $29.99 / £24.99. This wired Xbox accessory is fully compatible with other Xbox devices, including the Xbox Series X, Series S console, and Xbox Wireless Controller. It is designed to work seamlessly with the Xbox Adaptive Controller as well.

The Xbox Adaptive Joystick features a sleek and simple design, with a flat top housing a single analog stick that can be pushed in like those on the Xbox Wireless Controller. The front of the joystick includes one bumper and one trigger-style button, along with four face buttons at the top-middle of the device.

Players have the ability to customize their button layout on the Xbox Adaptive Joystick and create multiple button profiles using the Xbox Accessories app, available on console and PC.

The setup for the Xbox Adaptive Controller is expected to be hassle-free, as it seamlessly works with Xbox Series consoles and Windows PCs without the need for any updates. Microsoft’s dedication to accessibility on the Xbox platform is evident with the release of controllers designed to meet the needs of disabled players.

Sony has also introduced its own accessibility controller, the PlayStation Access controller, which received a positive review from our managing editor, Rob Dwiar.
