G2 Esports completes seven-figure investment round

G2 Esports Raises Seven Figures in Series B Investment

European esports organization G2 Esports has successfully completed a round of Series B investment, with WISE Ventures leading the funding round. This investment, amounting to ‘seven figures’, will fuel G2 Esports’ global expansion plans.

G2 Esports To Expand Esports Titles and Fan Activations

G2 Esports aims to broaden its presence in the esports industry by venturing into new esports titles while continuing to support its current esports rosters. The organization plans to channel the funds towards further investment in the Call of Duty League, following its acquisition of full ownership of the Minnesota Rokkr franchise from Version1 in 2023.

Additionally, G2 Esports intends to enhance its fan engagement initiatives by revamping its app, undertaking major content projects, and introducing new activations to elevate the fan experience.

The Series B investment round welcomed new investors to the G2 Esports family, joining existing backers. Notable additions include WISE Ventures, owners of the Minnesota Vikings, and The Tornante Company, the private equity firm helmed by former CEO of The Walt Disney Company, Michael Eisner.

2025 holds special significance for G2 Esports as it marks the organization’s 10th anniversary. Over the past decade, G2 Esports has established itself as a powerhouse in the gaming world, clinching over one hundred championships across various titles like League of Legends and Counter-Strike.

“This successful investment round and the addition of our new investors showcases G2’s strength and value as an organisation,” expressed Alban Dechelotte, CEO of G2 Esports. “This year is our 10th anniversary, and looking back over the last decade, we’ve not only built a globally successful brand with teams that are consistently on top, but also we’ve built a valuable business that’s been profitable for multiple years.”
