The newly assembled team, Near Airport, with two-time retired legend Yiliang ‘Doublelift’ Peng, TF Blade, Spica, Pobelter, and Biofrost, will be competing in the League of Legends NACL 2025.
The team had a dominating performance in the NACL qualifiers, securing their spot with a clean sweep of every opponent. Near Airport is now gearing up for NACL Split 1, aiming to reach LTA.
TF Blade expressed his excitement about stepping into the pro scene after playing top lane for eight years. He is looking forward to the challenge and the competitive aspect of the NACL. Doublelift highlighted the challenge of balancing time for scrims with streaming and personal commitments.
Despite time commitment issues, the team is determined to give their best effort. Doublelift emphasized the team’s dedication to making things work and not settling for anything less than their best.
NACL Split 1 will be held at the Riot Games Arena in Los Angeles from March 26th to June 6th, featuring a prize pool of $40,000. The tournament will follow a single round-robin format in the Group Stage, with the top six teams advancing to double-elimination Playoffs.
