The upcoming Mid-Season Invitational (MSI) is set to take place in Canada for the first time, marking it as the second major international event in the League of Legends calendar.

The top two teams from each regional league will convene in Vancouver, British Columbia, to compete for an additional Worlds slot, not only for the top two regions but also to secure one for their own region.

Riot Reveals MSI 2025 Venue

Riot Games has announced that MSI 2025 will be hosted at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver, a venue boasting a massive 90,000 square feet of exhibition space. According to Riot, the Pacific Coliseum has a rich history of hosting prestigious events, including the 2010 Olympic Games’ Short Track Speed Skating and Figure Skating competitions, as well as the 2017 League of Legends Championship Series Spring Finals.

MSI 2025 Tournament Structure

The tournament is scheduled to commence on June 27th, with the champions crowned on July 12th, offering a substantial prize pool of $2 Million (~£1,546,130). The event will kick off with the Play-in Stage, featuring a GSL format, leading to a double-elimination Playoff Stage. Teams from all regions will be vying for the MSI 2025 trophy in a series of best-of-five matches utilizing the Fearless Draft system.

How to Watch MSI 2025

Tickets for the tournament will be available in two waves. The first wave is set to go on sale on March 27th at 10 AM PDT / 5 PM GMT / 6 PM CET, with early access for Mastercard holders on March 26th at the same time. The second wave will begin on May 29th for the general audience, with Mastercard holders having the opportunity to purchase tickets a day earlier on May 28th. Fans attending the event in person can visit the Pacific Coliseum, while those tuning in from home can catch all the action on LoL Esports’ official Twitch and YouTube channels.
