NAVI returns to Apex Legends with ALGS 2024 winners

NAVI Returns to Apex Legends with New Roster

Ukrainian esport organization Natus Vincere (NAVI) has made a comeback to the competitive Apex Legends scene, introducing a fresh lineup of players along with a coach.

A trailer released on YouTube showcased the revamped roster, featuring former members of GoNext Esports who emerged victorious in the ALGS 2024 Championship.

New Roster Details:

  • Jose ‘Uxako‘ Llosa
  • Kyllian ‘zhidan‘ Brun
  • Filipe ‘Hiarka‘ Morgado

The team will be under the guidance of Francisco ‘Esteves33‘ Esteves, who previously led the GoNext Esports Apex Legends team to their 2024 triumph.

In the trailer, Hiarka expressed his enthusiasm for joining NAVI and shared his ambitions to bring home more trophies for the organization.

Uxako and Hiarka have a long-standing partnership, with zhidan joining them in August 2024 to complete the trio that secured victory for GoNext Esports.

The team’s preferred characters during the tournament were Newcastle, Gibraltar, and Catalyst, but their strategies for this year remain undisclosed.

NAVI’s participation in the ALGS Championship had been dormant since 2021, where they secured the 10th spot in the EMEA region. However, 2024 marked their resurgence in the Apex Legends esports arena.

NAVI Apex Legends Signing Draws Mixed Reactions Online

The announcement of NAVI’s new Apex Legends roster has garnered mixed responses from the community, with some applauding the team’s return while others expressing disappointment.

Critics have pointed out that the organization opted for a French-Spanish roster instead of Ukrainian players, sparking debates on social media platforms.

One user criticized NAVI’s decision, stating, “Instead of supporting local talent during these tough times, you chose to sign a non-Ukrainian roster. Second questionable move in recent times.”

Several others echoed similar sentiments, labeling NAVI’s choice as ‘crazy’ and ‘horrible’ in light of the current esports landscape.
