Riot extends its wings with LEC and VCT EMEA Red Bull deal

Riot Games Extends Partnership with Red Bull for LEC and VCT

Riot Games has announced the extension of its major partnership with Red Bull for its EMEA competitions in League of Legends and VALORANT.

As a result, the energy drink brand will remain the Official Energy Drink of the League of Legends EMEA Championship (LEC) and the EMEA region of the VALORANT Champions Tour (VCT).

Continued Support for EMEA Competitions

For the LEC, Red Bull will continue sponsoring the competition until the end of 2026. The brand will also maintain naming rights to the ‘Baron Power Play’ during matches and provide its cans to Riot Games staff, players, and commentators at the Riot Games Arena in Berlin.

2025 marks the sixth year of Red Bull’s collaboration with the LEC, establishing the energy drink brand as one of the competition’s longest-standing partners.

Similarly, Red Bull’s extension with VCT EMEA will run until the end of 2026. The brand will continue to be the presenting partner of the ‘Clutch Moments’ highlight package during broadcasts. In addition, Red Bull plans to host community VALORANT tournaments throughout 2025 and 2026.

Exciting Times Ahead

The renewal of the partnership coincides with the fifth anniversary of Red Bull’s collaboration with the VCT EMEA, which started in July 2021. The upcoming 2025 VCT EMEA season kicks off on March 26th, with 12 teams vying for a chance to qualify for VCT Masters Toronto. On March 29th, the LEC’s 2025 Spring Split begins, featuring 10 franchise teams competing for two qualification spots to the Mid-Season Invitational (MSI).
