Recently, Riot Games announced a multi-year partnership with the Esports World Cup Foundation, bringing an official VALORANT tournament to the esports festival for the first time.

The VALORANT Esports World Cup (EWC) 2025 event is scheduled to take place from July 8th-13th at the Boulevard Riyadh City venue in Riyadh, as part of the Saudi Arabian government-backed annual esports event. Riot Games’ deal with the EWC’s main organizer secures competitions for VALORANT, League of Legends, and Teamfight Tactics until 2027.

Prize pool details and participating teams for the VALORANT EWC have not been revealed yet, but updates are expected leading up to the event. It’s worth noting that the winner of the Asian Champions League (ACL) VALORANT competition will secure a spot in the EWC.

VALORANT EWC 2025 Format

The VALORANT EWC 2025 will feature 16 teams competing in four groups with a double-elimination format. The top two teams from each group will advance to the playoffs, which will consist of a single-elimination bracket.
