Call of Duty League Major 2 2025 has once again proven to be a popular event, with an average viewership of 121,815, matching last year’s numbers.

The highlight of the tournament was the intense match between hosts OpTic Texas and Minnesota Rokkr, which saw a peak viewership of 199,723, ultimately won by Atlanta FaZe.

The Grand Final showdown between FaZe and Vancouver Surge at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen, Texas drew significant attention, with a peak viewership of 176,915, making it the second most-watched match of the event.

Vancouver Surge emerged as the team with the most total hours watched during CDL Major 2, with 1.1 million hours. On the other hand, OpTic Texas, despite being the host team, did not feature in the top five due to their early exit from the competition.

Compared to last year’s Major 2 event, this year’s average viewership remained consistent at 121,815, with a slight decrease in peak viewership. While Major 2 2024 peaked at 244,478, this year’s peak was 22.6% lower.

What’s Next for the Call of Duty League?

OverActive Media has announced that this year’s CDL Championship Weekend will be hosted at the Kitchener Memorial Auditorium in Ontario, Canada, marking the first time the event is held outside of the United States. The upcoming CDL Major 3 is scheduled to take place in Boca Raton, United States, while CDL Major 4 will be part of DreamHack Dallas in May.

As the 2025 season progresses, viewership for the Call of Duty League remains stable. The addition of French esports organization Gentle Mates has helped the league tap into the passionate French fanbase.
