Dreamhaven Announces Exciting Projects at The Game Awards Showcase

Dreamhaven recently revealed some highly anticipated projects at its showcase presented by The Game Awards, including the release date of Sunderfolk, a tabletop-inspired adventure.

Founded by ex-Blizzard boss Mike Morhaime in 2020, Dreamhaven boasts a team of former Blizzard staff members across its two studios.

Sunderfolk Official Release Date Revealed

The most significant announcement from Dreamhaven was the official release date of Sunderfolk, scheduled for 23rd April 2025. Developed by studio Secret Door, Sunderfolk will be available on Steam, PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and Switch.

While the game will be accessible on both PC and console platforms, players will interact with Sunderfolk using a mobile app instead of a traditional controller. The mobile app aims to provide a streamlined and approachable tabletop experience for players.

Chris Sigaty, the studio head of Secret Door, expressed, “Our goal with Sunderfolk is to leverage modern technology to make game night something everyone can enjoy.”

Wildgate Announcement from Moonshot Games

Moonshot Games, Dreamhaven’s other studio, announced Wildgate, a crew-based first-person shooter set in space. This game, combined with Sunderfolk, demonstrates Dreamhaven’s ability to cater to both fantasy and sci-fi genres while offering cooperative experiences.

Wildgate challenges players to explore space in search of ancient relics, engaging in tactical spaceship combat and on-foot firefights with a comedic twist. A preview playtest is scheduled from 10th-14th April, with an official launch later this year on Steam, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S.

Additional Projects and Partnerships

In addition to Sunderfolk and Wildgate, Dreamhaven is collaborating with other studios on support projects. Lynked: Banner of the Spark, developed by FuzzyBot, offers a unique blend of dungeon-crawling and town management in a sci-fi world.

Furthermore, Dreamhaven has partnered with Game River to publish Mechabellum, an auto-battler mech strategy game. Players can expect exclusive skins, avatars, and emotes in the upcoming premium edition.
