The acquisition will see C4G combine with Dulcedo’s existing gaming and entertainment division, which already represents esports, gaming and streaming talent. Financial details regarding the purchase have not been disclosed. Dulcedo aims to blend its talent representation model with C4G’s Social Selling approach to offer a better solution for Dulcedo’s clients. Dubbed the Solar Opposites FaZe Elite Cup, the $50,000 (~£40,600) tournament will gather amateur and professional Fortnite players from North America. The organisation announced partnerships with three colleges (equivalent to the high school level in the US) to deliver lectures, industry access and equipment to students. Fnatic’s programme will support the Pearson Esports BTEC, a practical learning-focused qualification for high school-aged students in the UK. In addition to the transfer of assets, UMG will supply various technology services to Harena Data following the closing of the transaction. Some staff are being laid off, while others are moving into new roles within the company, a move the company has attributed to market conditions.
