Hello gentle readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade Round-Up for March 15th, 2023. In today’s article, I’ve got a couple of reviews for you to dig into. The Last Spell and Tents and Trees are the games in question, and I enjoyed both of them to varying extents. In the new release section, we’ve got a pair of thief-related titles to check out. After that, it’s that regular favorite: the lists of new and expiring sales for the day. Let’s get to it! Reviews & Mini-Views The Last Spell ($24.99) I really, really like The Last Spell, but I don’t…

Each and every day new mobile games are hitting the App Store, and so each week we put together a big old list of all the best new releases of the past seven days. Back in the day the App Store would showcase the same games for a week, and then refresh those features each Thursday. Because of that developers got into the habit of releasing their games throughout Wednesday or very early Thursday in order to hopefully get one of those coveted features spots. Nowadays the App Store refreshes constantly, so the need for everyone to release all on…
About a year ago, I wrote a list of Nintendo 3DS games to pick up before the announced closure of the eShop. Well, that deadline is getting awfully close now, so I hope you didn’t leave it all to buy at once. There’s good news if you happen to be on a budget and have been procrastinating, however. Some really great closing sales are happening right now, and I figured I would collect ten-ish of the best-ish for you to consider. Don’t dawdle too long, as the Nintendo 3DS eShop closes forever at the end of the day on March…
Following the previous ACA NeoGeo mobile release of the shoot ’em up Ghost Pilots, Hamster and SNK have released the realistic jockey action game Stakes Winner ($3.99) on iOS and Android worldwide. Stakes Winner debuted in 1995, and it is a realistic jockey action game. It lets players use jockey skills to power up horses for races. Out of the recent games added to Hamster’s NeoGeo classics on iOS and Android, Stakes Winner is one of the more interesting releases for sure. I haven’t played this on console before, but Shaun will probably review this on iOS in the near…
Hello gentle readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade Round-Up for March 14th, 2023. I had originally planned to have more than one review ready for you today, and I’ve got quite a backlog going, but things just didn’t work out. So what I’ve got is a full-sized review of Square Enix’s Octopath Traveler II that I hope you’ll enjoy. After that, we’ve got a handful of decent new releases to look into, plus the usual lists of new and outgoing sales. Let’s get to business! Reviews & Mini-Views Octopath Traveler II ($59.99) The situation has changed a lot since 2018…
When Motion Twin revealed the Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania DLC release date for PC and consoles, I knew I would end up playing it as soon as I could regardless of platform. My main platform for Dead Cells is currently Steam Deck, and I bought the Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania DLC as soon as it went up. Having now played it for about a week, I’m very impressed not just with the content, but with how much care has gone into this package. I’ve not seen everything the DLC has to offer, but I adore it, and hope…
Vampire Survivors (Free) on mobile was updated last week with support for cloud saves (Game Center for iOS and Google Play Games for Android), push notification support, an updated options menu, a way to delete save data (tapping the account icon 7 times), and many fixes. I was wondering when the ‘Legacy of the Moonspell’ DLC would arrive on mobile. Today, the DLC has gone live with an update out now on iOS and Android. The DLC is available through the new in-game store. Once you buy it, it restarts the app to check the DLC. If you’ve not played…
Hello gentle readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade Round-Up for March 13th, 2023. In today’s article, we’ve got a couple of reviews for you to start things off. I take a look at both Odencat’s Meg’s Monster and Atari’s Caverns of Mars: Recharged, and I liked one of them a little and one of them a whole lot. We then take a look at the handful of new releases for the day, and finish up with a decent list of new sales. Oh, and the expiring sales. Can’t forget those. Well, let’s get going. Reviews & Mini-Views Meg’s Monster ($14.99)…
If you’ve been reading our news and reviews over the last few years, you’ve seen that we are big fans of Feral Interactive. Feral Interactive have been bringing classic PC and console games to mobile for a while now with releases like Company of Heroes, Alien Isolation, Rome Total War, and much more. I adore the iPad and iPhone version of Company of Heroes, and it is a mainstay on my devices. While we have been covering a few games on Steam Deck, I was very interested in checking out Company of Heroes 3 as a fan of Company of…
