Battlefield Studios is hearing player concerns regarding the recent 1.1.3.0 Winter Offensive Update for Battlefield 6, which unintentionally introduced a range of issues from gameplay stuttering to sluggish navigation in the main menu. Community manager Kevin Johnson took to Twitter this week to reassure players, stating, “I want to make it clear, your experience and your feedback matter.” He emphasized that all teams at Battlefield Studios are diligently working to correct these problems to ensure a better gaming experience. Johnson added, “Thank you for keeping us focused; fixes are either here or on the way.”
In a follow-up statement shared on social media, the team acknowledged the ongoing review of all reports since the update. They are addressing specific items related to game modes like Breakthrough, the Firing Range, and Portal, as well as performance concerns such as micro-stuttering on PC and additional player-raised issues.
Battlefield 6 has already begun implementing fixes “one step at a time.” Developers quickly addressed problems like missing rewards and movement bugs within just 48 hours of the launch, with plans to target “other elements of the core loop” moving forward. The team extended their gratitude for player feedback, marking it as instrumental in their response efforts.
Moreover, it seems that players can look forward to upcoming fixes for issues related to climbing terrain and class active abilities; however, challenges concerning aim assist and hit registration are still in the pipeline for resolution. The lead developer mentioned that recoil adjustments will be “100% fixed,” although the complexity of the issue means it will require some time to fully resolve. “We’re already cooking some improvements,” they noted.
Despite some issues being resolved, several remain, following the earlier update that focused on stuttering issues and a bug affecting the Firing Range. For a comprehensive overview of problems and their resolutions, players can refer to the earlier statement.
As the team proceeds to validate the solutions already in development, they are committed to gathering more data from player reports and prioritizing any outstanding issues based on their severity and impact. Fortunately, several challenges have already been dealt with, or will be addressed in upcoming hotfixes. “More improvements are planned in future updates,” the team reassured.
In the latest update, Battlefield 6 has also added more vehicles to Breakthrough mode, but there’s a clear player demand echoing across the community: “Bring back 64 player Breakthrough, you cowards!”
