Battlefield 6 has encountered a significant issue with an exploit that enables players to cheat the laws of physics and bypass EA’s adjustments to movement speed. This glitch allows players to bounce off maps using problematic ladders, achieving incredible heights of 40-50 feet. Numerous clips circulating on social media showcase the Assault class leveraging ladders positioned against walls to perform astonishing leaps into the air, akin to using a jetpack.
This exploit represents a major balance concern. While it might be amusing to observe and even more entertaining to execute, it could lead to considerable frustration for players who find themselves defeated by someone utilizing this shortcut. Additionally, it undermines the purpose of the movement nerfs EA implemented in response to feedback from the beta and the day one update.
Upcoming Battlefield 6 Fixes on the Horizon
EA is already addressing the ladder exploit. David Sirland, the lead producer for Battlefield, acknowledged the situation in a response to a video that showcased this phenomenon, stating simply, “we will” patch it out.
However, the timeline for when players can expect this fix remains uncertain, especially since there hasn’t been a patch update since the game’s launch. Although witnessing astounding ladder jumps can be entertaining, it’s encouraging to see EA recognize the issue and commit to resolving it.
Another Issue: Ghost Bullets
In addition to this exploit, the Battlefield 6 development team confirms there’s a real problem with ghost bullets—a phenomenon noted during discussions regarding the game’s ‘bloom.’ This issue appears when players visibly hit their targets but receive no confirmation of damage.
