Diablo 4 is collaborating with the iconic anime Berserk for an exciting crossover event.
While specific details are still scarce regarding what the Diablo 4 x Berserk collaboration entails, Blizzard has shared a cinematic teaser trailer via its official Twitter account, giving fans a glimpse of what’s to come and raising anticipation.
The 30-second teaser showcases an anime-inspired Diablo Barbarian fiercely battling a swarm of demons, skillfully wielding a massive two-handed sword. He culminates his fierce fight with an impressive roar before revealing the official Diablo x Berserk logo, generating plenty of excitement.
Upon examining the trailer’s details, it appears that this Berserk collaboration will offer “optional in-game purchases” that encompass “random items,” which sounds reminiscent of loot boxes.
However, it’s important to note that the fine print also references Diablo Immortal along with iOS and Google Play, strongly suggesting that the mobile title is also involved in this cross-promotion. If this is the case, loot boxes may be exclusive to Diablo Immortal, while Diablo 4’s unique content could be confined to standard, transparent microtransactions.
The exact date for the crossover event remains unclear, yet with season 8 expected to launch shortly after the conclusion of season 7 on April 29, there’s a strong possibility that it will coincide with this event.
Blizzard has recently unveiled the complete Diablo 4 roadmap for 2025, which includes teasers for seasons 9 and 10. They’ve also reaffirmed that a new expansion is scheduled for 2026 and hinted at several “new IP collaborations,” indicating more exciting content is on the horizon beyond Berserk.
