Escape From Duckov Announces Crossover with Escape From Tarkov
In an unexpected twist, the quirky extraction shooter Escape From Duckov is teaming up with the game that’s clearly been its inspiration all along, Escape From Tarkov. Developer Team Soda made waves earlier this week, revealing the game’s first-ever crossover, and it seems they’ve hit the bullseye with this collaboration. “Step into a brand-new map and face off against classic characters from Escape From Tarkov,” the studio stated in a recent blog post announcing the update set for February 10.
On the same day, players can also expect to see a new mount system in action, along with fresh festival content. Although the details for these additional features are still a bit sparse, fans are likely eager to see what’s in store. If you haven’t seen it yet, check out the trailer showcasing the now-iconic, droopy-looking rideable horse included in the update.
What would be interesting now is for Escape From Tarkov to add its own ducks. Lots and lots of ducks. And it’s worth mentioning that Escape From Duckov resonates nicely with the community of Arc Raiders, especially given their quirky obsession with rubber ducks.
For those out of the loop, Escape From Duckov is a mammoth shooter that skyrocketed to fame soon after launch, selling over a million copies in its first week alone. It saw even more concurrent players than giants like Battlefield 6 and GTA 5 at its peak. The twist? Unlike its counterpart, Duckov is purely PvE, focusing on looting and survival before making a dash to extract with your hard-earned goods.
As fans await more updates, it’s safe to say this crossover has everyone buzzing. Let’s see where Team Soda and their quirky universe take us next!
