Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night, the beloved spiritual successor to the Castlevania series, is available for free for a limited time on the Epic Games Store. You’ll need to act fast, though—this offer lasts less than 24 hours, making it a perfect little holiday treat for yourself. To celebrate this festive season, Epic has been giving away a different free game each day, and today’s gem is Bloodstained.
To grab your copy, simply head over to the Epic Games Store, click “get,” and sign into your account. Once you do that, downloading and installing the game is a breeze. Easy peasy! Just a quick reminder: this free offer ends on December 24 at 8 AM PT / 11 AM ET. If you’re anything like me and tend to forget these cool opportunities until later, it’s probably best to snag this one right away. While there will be another new free game every day through December 31, what those titles are remains a bit of a mystery until their respective release days. So far, we’ve seen Paradise Killer, Sorry We’re Closed, Blood West, Eternights, and Jotunnslayer: Hordes of Hel.
In the meantime, now’s an excellent moment to dive into—or revisit—Bloodstained. Developer ArtPlay is currently working on a prequel titled Bloodstained: The Scarlet Engagement, set to launch for PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC sometime in 2026.
