Following the recent Switch 1 Direct event, excitement surrounding the Switch 2 has reignited. This resurgence stems partially from some subtle confirmations made by Nintendo after the Direct, but primarily from a fresh wave of rumors, particularly related to the development kits for the console.
Notably, Tom Henderson from Insider Gaming shared insights during a recent episode of the Insider Gaming Weekly podcast. He mentioned, “I heard this from one developer at GDC and also heard it separately in an email but the dev kits, or some of the dev kits, don’t have a 4K output.” It’s important to highlight that even if this claim holds true, it doesn’t necessarily mean that the Switch 2 lacks 4K capability. Additionally, with the Switch 2 Direct event just around the corner, fans won’t have to wait long for further clarification.
