In today’s Nintendo Direct event, a plethora of exciting new titles and updates were unveiled for the Nintendo Switch platform, alongside announcements concerning the gaming landscape for 2025 and beyond. Among the standout reveals was a new app called Nintendo Today!. This app promises to bring a diverse range of content, including news and videos revolving around beloved Nintendo games and characters from various franchises. The showcase highlighted Fresh titles set to launch on Nintendo Switch, including the newly revealed Rhythm Heaven Groove and Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, with additional insights into Pokémon Legends: Z-A and Metroid Prime 4: Beyond. The newly introduced virtual game cards feature was designed to streamline digital game management, offering players the ability to lend or borrow games within their Nintendo Account family group.
The presentation also showcased a variety of Nintendo Switch titles from global publishing and development partners. Highlights include Tamagotchi Plaza, set for a June 27 launch; MARVEL Cosmic Invasion, which debuts this winter; STORY OF SEASONS: Grand Bazaar, arriving August 27; PATAPON 1+2 REPLAY, set to release on July 11; and a DRAGON QUEST I & II HD-2D Remake launching later this year. Besides these, several titles will be available on Nintendo Switch by the end of today, including SaGa Frontier 2 Remastered, Rift of the NecroDancer, and Disney Villains Cursed Café.

- Nintendo Today!: A brand-new app aimed at delivering Nintendo content right to your smart devices, functioning like a daily calendar filled with the latest news, videos, and comics featuring your favorite Nintendo franchises. Following the April 2 events, find deeper insights into the Nintendo Switch 2 system directly within the app, which is free for anyone with a Nintendo Account and compatible smart device. Available for download from the App Store and Google Play starting today.
- Pokémon Legends: Z-A: Step into Lumiose City with your choice of Chikorita, Tepig, or Totodile as your starting Pokémon. Engage in an urban redevelopment initiative while nighttime brings fierce competition in the Z-A Royale tournament, where aspiring Trainers climb the ranks from Z to A. - Metroid Prime 4: Beyond: Follow Samus Aran on her unexpected journey to the planet Viewros, where she gains Psychic Abilities that allow her to manipulate her environment. What mysterious fate awaits her? Discover the intertwining stories that transcend dimensions when Metroid Prime 4: Beyond launches later this year.
- MARVEL Cosmic Invasion: Join iconic heroes like Wolverine and Spider-Man in this fast-paced arcade-style brawler, taking on Super Villain Annihilus. With dynamic tag-team mechanics and retro-inspired pixel art, up to four players can engage in local or online co-op. The action spans from New York City to the depths of the Negative Zone, launching on Nintendo Switch this winter.
- STORY OF SEASONS: Grand Bazaar: Rebuild Zephyr Town’s once-thriving bazaar in this updated version of the classic Nintendo DS title. Featuring new characters, an enhanced story, and improved visuals, players will create their farm and cultivate relationships with the townsfolk. STORY OF SEASONS: Grand Bazaar launches on August 27.
- Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream: The beloved series returns after over a decade! Build your own Mii characters and watch them interact in a whimsical island setting. This engaging game is slated for a 2026 release.
