A fresh gameplay trailer has just dropped for Marvel Rivals, highlighting a new character ready to join the fray: the power-stealing mutant, Rogue.
Check out the trailer below, where Rogue demonstrates her ability to absorb powers from legendary heroes like Loki, Doctor Strange, and Psylocke, all while delivering their unique lines with her signature Southern twang (seriously, hearing her say “sayonara” is a treat). What really grabs me, though, is the emphasis on melee combat throughout the footage.
Rogue looks absolutely devastating in combat, taking down foes left and right. NetEase even seems to have integrated her iconic divekick from Marvel vs. Capcom, allowing her to blast into the air for classic fighting game-style combos before crashing down with flair in various grappling scenarios.
Rogue will make her debut in Marvel Rivals with the season 5.5 update, which also promises a range of nerfs and buffs throughout the character roster, dropping on December 12.
While I may not have fully cracked Marvel Rivals, I can confidently say that Marvel Snap schooled me on PvP etiquette in just six months.
