Mysterious Symbols in Red Dead Redemption 2: A Decade-Long Puzzle
After nearly ten years, players have stumbled upon an intriguing mystery in Red Dead Redemption 2 that’s been hiding right in front of them. This sprawling enigma woven into Rockstar’s open-world Western explores spider webs and telegraph poles, and the community is still buzzing with excitement trying to decipher its meaning.
Located near the Heartland Oil Fields, one particular telegraph pole displays a strange, spider-like symbol that becomes visible between 3 AM and 4 AM. If you look up during this time, you’ll spot a web with an attached feather. Although it’s a static object, you can fire away at the feather if you’re inclined.
By treating the telegraph pole as one leg of a spider and marking its unusual symbol on the map, players can discover – surprise! – seven other telegraph poles. Each one sports its unique symbol alongside a web, and at the heart of these symbols is a ninth, larger web cleverly tucked away in a nearby tree.
This larger web hints at a direction north, guiding players to yet another telegraph pole where shooting off pieces reveals instructions to venture westward, leading to another pole and eventually toward a guitar shop. As of now, this marks the end of what players have uncovered, based on various compilations on YouTube centering around the Strange Man.
Many are currently at a bit of a standstill. Interestingly, there was a similar adventure in Grand Theft Auto 5 involving spider webs, where players sought to find an Easter egg on Mount Chiliad. Until now, dreamcatchers in Red Dead Redemption 2 were considered to be the pinnacle of these mystery hunts. But it seems we’ve all underestimated the depth of this game!
This ongoing quest serves as a reminder of how rich and compelling the lore in Red Dead Redemption 2 can be. Fans are hopeful of unraveling this mystery before the arrival of GTA 6. If you’re eager to be part of this discovery, it’s time to jump in and participate!
