Exclusive Resident Evil Watches Coming Soon
Remember those stylish watches seen on Grace Ashcroft and Leon Kennedy in the trailers for Resident Evil Requiem? No? Well, they’re not just for show—these luxury timepieces will soon be available for purchase. Announced during a rather uneventful Resident Evil showcase, which mainly revealed a new classic mode featuring ink ribbon management, this exciting collaboration is between Capcom and the renowned watchmakers at Hamilton.
There are two designs in this limited release, with only 2,000 units of each made. If one catches your eye and you’ve got the cash to spare (let’s be friends if you do!), it’s a good idea to snag one quickly.
Initially, I thought Capcom and Hamilton had crafted these watches purely for promotional purposes, but after revisiting the trailers, I discovered that Grace and Leon have been wearing them all along. Hamilton is now offering nearly identical replicas of the timepieces worn by the characters.
According to Hamilton, “Grace wears a unique American Classic Pan Europ that blends strength and sophistication, featuring a gold-accented strap, geometric case-back motifs, and a bold gold-and-black dial.” On the other hand, “Leon sports a Khaki Field Auto Chrono, a rugged all-black watch equipped with bullet-inspired pushers and a wing detail at 9 o’clock that honors fallen comrades.” Quite fascinating, right?
“In Resident Evil Requiem, time is a central theme. It builds tension, shapes the narrative, and influences every decision,” reads the collaboration’s description. “Hamilton’s partnership with Capcom encapsulates this concept through two story-driven timepieces crafted specifically for the game’s universe and its protagonists.”
Grace’s black and gold American Classic Pan Europ comes with a price tag of $1,475, while Leon’s sleek all-black Khaki Field Auto Chrono will set you back $2,175. Sure, they’re out of reach for most, but I must say, they look classy without the tacky branding you might expect from branded watches, especially ones at this price point! Both timepieces will launch on February 27, the same day as Resident Evil Requiem.
Additionally, a producer of Resident Evil Requiem noted that Leon’s counterpart, Grace, is “easily frightened,” making her a relatable character—even for seasoned horror fans disturbed by creatures who might sniff your stink.
