A player recently brought attention to the problem on the official EA forums, stating, “When I make a Getaway for one Sim and switch to another household, simply opening the calendar, saving, and returning to the first household causes the Getaway to disappear.” They clarified that they do not have any mods installed, implying that this isn’t a case of external interference. Unfortunately, it was confirmed that this disappearance is by design—switching households results in the cancellation of any Getaways.
