In a follow-up clarification, Square Enix added, “We forgot to mention: regardless of levels too! Due to the impact on animations, weapons and tools can only be equipped by the corresponding class (e.g., daggers for daggers). But we’re excited to see the creative combinations players come up with in 7.4!”
Exciting Developments in Final Fantasy 14
Patch 7.3 of Final Fantasy 14 concluded the narrative arc that developers wanted to present with Dawntrail, leaving Yoshi-P with a sense of relief that it’s done, as the MMO continues to place “the fate of the world” squarely on the players’ shoulders.
Additionally, Square Enix is reportedly “heavily discussing the possibility” of introducing its own housing system, inspired by World of Warcraft, featuring unique techniques for decorating.
Your Glamour Options Just Expanded!
From Patch 7.4 onwards, players will delight in the freedom to equip any glamours, transcending class/job boundaries! Feel free to mix and match your favorite looks and shine on the battlefield!
As per the latest announcements, Final Fantasy 14 provides considerable flexibility by allowing characters to switch jobs seamlessly and utilize various outfits through the glamour plate system. Previously, this flexibility was somewhat limited as gear was restricted to a narrow range of jobs. Now, warriors can don plate armor while mages can rock robes, just as Hydaelyn envisioned.
This transformative update is set to go live on December 16, 2025, as part of patch 7.4, titled Into the Mist.
These are the best MMOs you can play today.
