Monster Hunter Wilds is set to receive a new hotfix aimed at resolving several bugs and issues within the action RPG, offering hopeful news for players whose hunters are bald or lack eyebrows.
Today, Capcom took to Twitter to announce that patch Ver.1.010.01.00 will be implemented on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S soon. The update is scheduled for release at 7pm PT / 10pm ET on April 15, which converts to 3am BST on April 16 for UK players.
Heads up, hunters: Hotfix patch Ver.1.010.01.00 is planned to go live on all platforms at April 15, 7pm PT/April 16, 3am GMT. Details: Additional bug fixes will also be included in this update. Please see the full notes after the patch is live. All…– Capcom
In terms of fixes to anticipate, Capcom has already detailed some issues. For instance, players may encounter a scenario where they are “unable to redo the assignment for Mizutsune,” a problem that is expected to be resolved soon. Additionally, “the Palico does not ride the Seikret in some scenes where it is required to progress the story,” but this should be corrected shortly. Another issue that will be addressed is a crash occurring when “trading items with Sekka through Nata at the Village Intermediary menu.”
Capcom is also focused on fixing another crash issue in the upcoming update. They noted: “If the hunter is equipped with certain gears, [the] game may crash upon launch, such as when the network is being initialized.”
While the developer hasn’t clarified what these “certain gears” are, it closely resembles a peculiar issue recently described by Automaton. This problem was flagged by players who experienced crashes during launch—specifically when “initializing network”—if they attempted to start the game after saving with a bald character who has no eyebrows, while also wearing the Guild Knight Set, which is available as a pre-order bonus.
This unfortunate issue, though quite specific, impacts players who wish to combine these characteristics in their outfits. We can only hope that bald, eyebrowless hunters will have the option to dress as they desire following the release of the patch.
