It’s been nearly 18 years since the original PS2 title made its debut—now a staple across multiple platforms—and the announcement for a sequel made waves back in 2024.

This highly anticipated follow-up, led by the original director Hideki Kamiya, marks a significant first for him as he takes on directing a sequel to his own game.
