A poorly executed Microsoft Flight Simulator clone has topped the download charts for PlayStation VR2 in Europe, securing the first position and achieving fourth place in the United States.
Initially released under the title “Flight Simulator 2025 VR” on the PlayStation Store last month, the game has since been rebranded as “Flight Simulator Delivery 2025 VR.”
The former title, along with the visuals displayed on the store page, implies a high-quality simulation experience with advanced graphics. However, our hands-on testing with the PS VR2 revealed that it significantly fails to meet the expectations one would have for a game available on Sony’s platform. Currently, it holds a dismal rating of 1.38 stars on the PlayStation Store.
The experience begins with an unpolished “Made With Unity” screen, suggesting that the developer either neglected to obtain a proper Unity license or lacks knowledge on how to disable this notification. The game then takes players to a low-resolution menu that offers only sound adjustment settings.
When you opt to start a new game, you enter a hangar where upgrades for your aircraft are available, along with the option to commence missions. The visuals within the headset are so poorly rendered that you need to lean in to make out the text. Additionally, there is no guidance provided on how to begin flying.
Once you manage to take flight, you find yourself in a dimly lit cockpit with an unresponsive blank tablet floating next to you. This tablet serves no purpose, and there is no tutorial available that explains how to operate a plane. If you are not already familiar with starting up a propeller aircraft, you are left without any direction.
As you soar into the skies, the low quality of the environment becomes evident. The visuals resemble those of a Quest 2 title rather than those expected from the PS VR2, aside from the lighting effects. During your flight, you will hear a voiceover sharing random flight facts that are entirely irrelevant to your current situation.
In spite of Microsoft’s ongoing initiatives toward cross-platform gaming, there has been no official word regarding a port for PS5 or PlayStation VR2. Considering the promotional materials surrounding the new PlayStation VR2 title, as well as last year’s release of Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 with PC VR support, it is likely that many purchases were made under false pretenses.
Below is the complete download chart for March 2025:

Although the publisher has explored flight simulation before with last year’s traditional game, Flight Simulator Delivery: Cargo Business, this isn’t the first occurrence of 404 Games venturing into VR. They also released Grand Rush VR Highway Car Traffic Racing Simulator back in September, which currently holds a rating of 1.58 stars on the PlayStation Store.
If you’ve purchased Flight Simulator Delivery 2025 VR, we suggest avoiding downloading it if you seek a refund. According to Sony’s refund policy, you must not have downloaded or streamed the game, and it should have been bought within the last 14 days for refund eligibility. We have reached out to Sony to inquire about potential refunds beyond these stipulations and will update this article if we receive a response.
As for other titles topping the latest PlayStation VR2 download rankings, March has produced few surprises. Games like Beat Saber, Among Us VR, and Alien: Rogue Incursion filled out the top three spots in each region, but it’s important to note that these rankings exclude PS5 titles with optional PlayStation VR2 capabilities. Consequently, the Hitman World of Assassination trilogy is notably missing from the charts.
