The highly anticipated F1 25 is set to launch this May, bringing back the excitement of racing with optional VR support for PC gamers.
As the fourth major installment to offer official VR features on PC, EA Sports and Codemasters have unveiled the latest addition to the beloved racing franchise. F1 25 will continue the immersive story mode with ‘Braking Point 3’, a narrative that continues the journey initiated in F1 2021 and expanded in F1 23. This edition also includes elements tied to the upcoming F1 film and introduces an upgraded ‘My Team’ mode. The new ‘Owner Perks’ feature allows players to specialize in various aspects of team management.
The Steam page reveals that a detailed presentation on gameplay updates is scheduled for April, although an exact date has yet to be confirmed. Currently, the information on VR support is limited to a ‘VR Supported’ indication and a list of compatible headsets in the game’s system requirements.
In a recent reveal, EA Sports showcased the cover athletes for this year’s title. The ‘Standard Edition‘ highlights three drivers: Oscar Piastri representing McLaren, Carlos Sainz Jr. for Williams, and Haas rookie Ollie Bearman. Additionally, the ‘Iconic Edition‘ marks a significant change, featuring Lewis Hamilton as a Ferrari driver for the first time.
Players opting for the Iconic Edition at $80 can enjoy a three-day early access starting May 27. This special version also includes the F1 75 Celebration Pack, alongside a time trial set of liveries for the upcoming 2025 season, provided the player owns the previous installment, F1 24. Additional bonuses comprise icons from Formula 3, a content pack with extra items, and a one-month subscription to F1 TV Pro (available only in the USA).
F1 25 – Standard Edition is slated to be released on May 30 for $60, making its presence known on Steam with VR support for PC enthusiasts.
