The team at Devs United Games has launched an early access version of Fishing Haven for the Apple Vision Pro, continuing their work on Real VR Fishing.
This innovative app showcases hand tracking technology that allows players to fish in virtual reality without the need for controllers. Although the application currently experiences a number of bugs, it presents a fascinating experience with significant potential for improvement.
Initially, the app offers users the choice to engage in multitasking within a mixed reality environment or dive into full virtual reality. When ready to fish, you simply switch from multitasking to a serene fishing locale, free from any interruptions. Players can unlock various fishing locations throughout the United States, South Korea, and Japan as they start catching fish. There’s also the option to inspect your fishing gear and monitor the species you’ve caught or are yet to reel in while still multitasking.
At your chosen fishing spot, simply extend your hand to grab the rod and perform a strong casting motion. When you feel a fish on the line, use your other hand to start reeling it in.
The Quest headsets have made Real VR Fishing a top-tier multiplayer experience, and it has received mostly favorable reviews on Steam. With the introduction of Fishing Haven on the Vision Pro, the developers are taking a new approach, and it’s exciting to see a comprehensive map of all your available fishing locations. Getting started with fishing is as easy as performing a couple of taps in the air.
While we advise potential buyers to hold off on purchasing this game for now due to its early access status and numerous bugs, it’s important to note that the developers have a history of thoughtful and gradual development. We will be closely following future updates as they enhance and expand this title.
