Today marks the launch of Silent North, an early access alpha of the VR zombie survival game developed by Combat Waffle Studios, known for titles like Ghosts of Tabor and GRIM. This new entry immerses players into a PvPvE shooter set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Alps.
In Silent North, players will face the dual challenge of battling a harsh winter environment along with waves of zombies. Survival hinges on securing limited resources while contending with both the undead and competing survivors.

Surviving in this unforgiving world entails managing essential needs such as food and warmth, alongside scavenging various villages for crucial supplies. Players have the option to collaborate with others, and the developers note that the dynamic day-night cycle can dramatically alter gameplay strategies. For instance, players can exploit the cover of night for stealthy maneuvers or utilize daylight to spot enemies from a distance.
Next month’s release is set to follow the early access alpha of GRIM, another innovative project from Combat Waffle Studios, co-developed with Spoonfed Interactive. In contrast to Silent North, GRIM is a multiplayer sandbox game influenced by Rust, where players strive to survive in a world where Mars colonization efforts have crumbled. Additionally, it’s worth mentioning that GRIM has recently progressed to its beta stage after a series of updates since its launch.
Players interested in Silent North can access its early access alpha on Quest and Steam.
