The horror title Slender: The Arrival is set to launch this May on Steam, PS VR2, and Quest.
Recently featured in the VR Games Showcase, Slender: The Arrival transitions from flatscreen to VR this spring. Crafted by Blue Isle Studios, this first-person horror experience draws inspiration from the infamous creepypasta character, The Slender Man. Players will navigate chilling environments while trying to evade the unsettling presence and faceless gaze of The Slender Man.
This iteration revisits developer Mark Hadley’s 2012 classic, Slender: Eight Pages—a survival horror game that plunged players into a dense, foreboding forest in search of collectables. With visual enhancements such as improved shadows and revamped models, Slender: The Arrival also offers a new narrative element for players to explore while evading the malevolent figure.
The VR adaptation enhances the game’s immersive horror elements, allowing players to traverse space more realistically and appreciate these upgrades from a closer perspective. The PlayStation VR2 version features haptic feedback in both the controllers and headset. Initially set for a 2025 release, Slender: The Arrival’s launch was postponed as Perp Games and Blue Isle Studios stated they required additional time to ensure a comprehensive transition to VR.
Slender: The Arrival VR will be available on PS VR2, Steam, and Quest on May 13.
