Star Wars: Beyond Victory – A Mixed Reality Playset is an exciting new title from ILM Immersive, specifically designed for the Quest 3 and 3S platforms.
Following their remarkable work on the Vader Immortal trilogy and Tales from the Galaxy’s Edge, ILM Immersive has announced their next venture: Star Wars: Beyond Victory – A Mixed Reality Playset. Taking place around the timeline of *Solo: A Star Wars Story*, the official Star Wars site indicates that Beyond Victory aims to immerse players in the world of podracing like never before. Players will meet Volo Bolus, an aspiring podracer who partners with the renowned pilot Sebulba.

Details about the gameplay remain somewhat limited, although there will be an original Marvel comic that aims to expand on this narrative. The comic features cover art by Phil Noto, is penned by Ethan Sacks, and boasts interior artwork from Will Sliney, Steven Cummings, and Shogo Aoki. This comic will only be available to attendees of the Star Wars Celebration 2025 in Japan.
In the words of Jose Perez III, Director of *Star Wars: Beyond Victory – A Mixed Reality Playset*: “Our goal at ILM has always been to find new and exciting ways for players to experience *Star Wars* stories. Focusing on mixed reality has opened several fascinating doors from an immersion standpoint and allows us to literally bring a galaxy far, far away right into the comfort of players’ homes in a way that’s unlike anything we’ve done before.”
More information is expected to be revealed during the Star Wars Celebration 2025 event, scheduled for April 18-20, 2025, at Hall 4, Booth #20-5. Attendees can also expect to try out demo versions of Vader Immortal and Tales From The Galaxy’s Edge at this convention.
Although a release date has yet to be confirmed, it is clear that Star Wars: Beyond Victory – A Mixed Reality Playset will be available exclusively for the Quest 3 and 3S platforms.
