Table Troopers is an engaging mixed reality multiplayer game inspired by the classic Worms franchise, set to launch on Quest later this year.
Created by the German developer Cosmorama Technologies, Table Troopers embraces a rotatable tabletop format, delivering a fresh strategy gaming experience in the mixed reality genre. Similar to Team 17’s notable series Worms, players will have the ability to command their units into battle against opponents. With hand tracking capabilities, players can directly manipulate their units and unleash a variety of weapons, resulting in impactful environmental havoc.
The gameplay trailer above, which showcases early alpha footage, reveals an impressive arsenal that includes sniper rifles, stick grenades, and RPGs. Players can also request aerial assistance to rain bombs down on adversaries, inflicting substantial damage. Notably, while the footage illustrates color passthrough features, Cosmorama has confirmed that support for Quest 2 is also available.
This title marks one of the first public releases from Oculus Publishing’s Ignition program, designed to support small, emerging teams in crafting games that are “more mainstream than niche and broad in scope with compelling Quest 3 interaction mechanics.” At a recent GDC 2025 presentation, Meta’s Director of Games, Chris Pruett, announced that funding has been provided to 21 different startups under this initiative.
