This week’s XR News Round-Up is here, providing insights into the latest developments that have caught our eye.
It’s been a few weeks since we last shared our weekend recap due to GDC 2025 and other activities, and an abundance of news has emerged in the meantime. The VR Games Showcase unveiled exciting titles such as Forefront, Titan Isles, and Reave, while Behemoth introduced a New Game+ feature. No Man’s Sky also launched the RELICS update, and Onward 2.0 is now available. We explored titles like Pinball FX VR, Boxed Out, Mythic Realms, Hitman on PS VR2, Final Fury, Pixel Dungeon, and Roboquest VR.
In the realm of hardware, there has been a flurry of activity as well. Bigscreen Beyond 2 was officially unveiled and achieved more headset sales in a single day than the original model did within six months. Additionally, a new competitor to the Apple Vision Pro has emerged in the form of Vivo Vision, a new PTC build surfaced for Quest v76, LG has halted its XR product endeavors, and further details about the Valve Deckard proof of concept were shared. Apple also announced that WWDC25 will take place on June 9.
