In Stardew Valley, villagers can have five different reactions to various gifts that you give them. They can love, like, dislike, and hate your gifts. They can also have a neutral reaction to your items, which will also give you positive friendship points.
With most NPCs in Stardew Valley, players can get 10 friendship hearts. You can only get 14 hearts with romanceable characters, and Marnie isn’t one of them.
One friendship heart is worth 250 friendship points, and the best possible gift, the ones they love, is worth 80 friendship points. Liked gifts give you 45 friendship points, neutral ones 20, disliked ones -20, and hated ones -40.
